Jack Wild was a British actor, singer & entertainer.
He is probably best known for his performances as the Artful Dodger in the 1968 film, Oliver! & as Jimmy in HR Pufnstuf [TV series, which was then made into a film].
Jack received an Oscar nomination, for Best Supporting Actor, for his performance in Oliver! at the age of sixteen.
Jack also starred in other film, tv & stage productions, & released 3 albums.
He died in 2006, after a long battle with oral cancer, which is believed to have been caused by his alcoholism & smoking.
Jack began writing his autobiography but was unable to complete it before his death. His wife, Claire Harding, has been working on it ever since, & it is hoped it will be released very soon.
